East Stirling earn much-needed win over Elgin
East Stirling claimed a vital victory in their bid to move away from the Ladbrokes Scottish League Two basement with a 2-0 home win over Elgin.
Jonny Court and Alistair Roy got the goals which earned the home side three important points.
East Stirling were ahead after 19 minutes as Court opened the scoring, finishing with a shot from the right side of the area from a Lloyd Kinnaird pass.
Mark Nicolson was off target with a shot and Kyle MacLeod headed at Darren Dolan as Elgin tried to force a way back into the game after the interval.
But with less than three minutes remaining East Stirling made the points safe.
Roy's shot secured the victory and meant there was no way back for Elgin.
