Shire held by Berwick
East Stirling missed the chance to go third as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Colin Cameron's Berwick at Ochilview Park.
David Greenhill went close when his shot was saved by Michael Andrews but Berwick took the lead before half-time through Lee Currie's free-kick, his 11th of the campaign.
The Shire got their equaliser 20 minutes from time when Paul Quinn converted from the penalty spot after Iain Thomson was fouled by Damian Gielty.
Gielty's effort was then tipped over the bar by Shire keeper Grant Hay while Quinn fired wide late on.
