Stirling pay penalty

East Stirling claimed bragging rights in the derby beating nine-man Stirling 1-0.

Iain Thompson scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time, after Ross McGeachie hauled down David Greenhill in the box.

The Binos came back at East Stirling in the second half, with Lee Hamilton coming the closest to grabbing an equaliser with a rasping shot that clattered off the crossbar.

However Stirling's comeback was hampered by their poor discipline, as first David McClune was shown a straight red card after 80 minutes for a high-footed challenge on Ricky Miller, and then Kieran McAnespie was given his marching orders for a second yellow card.
