Jackson keeps his cool Steven Jackson's penalty was enough to give East Stirling a 1-0 win over 10-man Montrose. Gable Endies defender Jonathan Smart was sent off for violent conduct for his foul on Alistair Love which led to the spot-kick. Montrose could have taken the lead after 10 minutes but Martin Boyle put his header wide. Boyle had an even better chance after 32 minutes but his close range header was saved by Callum Antell. The away side continued to press after the break and Smart should have scored but fired wide from close range. But East Stirling took the lead after Smart's foul. Jackson stepped up to fire the ball into the top corner from the spot, and they held on for victory.
