Wallace wins it for Fifers

Ryan Wallace's solitary strike was enough to see East Fife win 1-0 at Stirling despite playing for 70 minutes with 10 men.

Darren Smith had the first sight of goal for Stirling in the second minute but he shot over the bar.

Lewis Bonar tried his luck from long range five minutes later but East Fife goalkeeper Michael Brown comfortably saved.

The away side were down to 10 men after 20 minutes as Darren McCormack was dismissed for serious foul play after fouling Scott Davidson.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, the Fifers took the lead after 51 minutes, Wallace picking the ball up and drilling home an unstoppable shot from the edge of the area.

Smith should have equalised in the final minute, but shot over from close range.
