Fifers wait on Brown fitness

East Fife striker Chris Duggan is out with a hamstring problem while Ross Brown may also miss the visit of Stranraer through illness.

Better news for player/manager Gary Naysmith is the availability of Pat Slattery and Kevin Smith after injury while Mark Hurst and Kevin O'Hara return to the squad after international duty.

Naysmith said: "We are still making mistakes that are getting heavily punished and we need to cut that out of our game. Stranraer will be very tough opponents as they have a very experienced squad but if we attack like we can and defend better than we have been we can win."

Stranraer include new loan signing from Motherwell Luke Watt in their squad for the first time with only the fitness of striker Christian Nade giving manager Brian Reid any concern.

"We have had two clean sheets and two wins in a row now so we have given ourselves a platform to build on," said Reid. "Bayview is a difficult venue bit if we play like we did against Peterhead and then Dumbarton then we have a good chance of winning.

"Despite it still being early in the season we are still happy with our league position but winning this game would take us closer to where we want to be."
