Naysmith waits on Goodfellow with East Fife trialist on stand-by
East Fife trialist Darren Hill could be on goalkeeping duty against Montrose as regular number one Ryan Goodfellow is an injury doubt.
Stevie Campbell remains sidelined after suffering a recurrence of an ankle injury in training on Thursday.
Player-manager Gary Naysmith said: "We need to get a win to get things moving for us positively in terms of pushing for promotion again after a disappointing spell. Hopefully we will get it against Montrose.
"They did well in their midweek draw with Annan but if we play like we can and take our chances then we can win."
Montrose's leading scorer Gary Fraser is an injury doubt and could join injured skipper Paul Watson (stomach), Andrew Steeves (knee), Terry Masson and Ross McCord (both knee) on the sidelines.
Manager Paul Hegarty said: "We tried a different system out against Annan and it worked in terms of giving us a balanced look and stability across the park.
"We were really good in the second half against the league leaders and while we could have won we were pleased with the draw that stopped a disappointing run of results.
"We will look to build on that at East Fife."
