East Fife can't count on Campbell

East Fife are missing only Stevie Campbell when they face early season pace-setters Elgin.

Campbell has a long standing ankle injury, but otherwise Gary Naysmith has a fully-fit squad.

Naysmith said: "We put in an outstanding performance against Berwick last weekend and were rewarded with a 5-0 success. I am not saying that we will hit those heights again, however, if we win this game, we will have won three games from the last four and that is the type of form I am after.

"We cannot just turn up and expect to win as Elgin have been strong all season and defeated a Championship side in Alloa in midweek."

Elgin will give Jamie Duff a late check as the defender is still suffering from the knee injury that kept him out of the 2-0 success over the Wasps.

Daniel Moore and Craig Gunn are also doubts after their extra-time exploits.

Manager Jim Weir said: "East Fife are one of the strong candidates for promotion this season. They have good players throughout their team and probably the best strikers in the league.

"We will have to play well to win but thankfully we are going there with confidence after a great start to the league. The players are working hard and seeing the rewards."
