Campbell injured for East Fife

East Fife will be without Stevie Campbell against Scottish League Cup visitors Dumbarton following a recent ankle injury.

Kevin Smith will miss out on the opportunity to play against his brother Gordon, who is in the Sons squad, due to suspension.

Allan Walker returns, with player-manager Gary Naysmith saying: "We lost 3-1 to Falkirk last weekend, however the game was in the balance until they scored two injury-time goals. The players were terrific and deserved extra-time at least.

"We will need the same level of performance if we are to do anything against a Dumbarton side who I reckon are just as strong as Falkirk."

Dumbarton add new signing Steven Craig, suspension-free Mark Docherty and fit-again Jordan Kirkpatrick to the squad that started manager Stephen Aitken's first game in charge - a 3-2 success at Morton,

The new Sons boss is not planning changes after that result.

He said: "The players did very well last weekend at Cappielow and we will need the same level of performance in this game so I do not envisage changing much.

"East Fife did very well at Falkirk and they will welcome the opportunity of facing a Championship side at home so we cannot let our standards slip."
