Double blow for Fifers
Lewis Barr and Cyrus Moosavi will be absent for East Fife when they host Brechin.
Barr has an ankle injury and Moosavi misses out with a knee problem, while Ross Brown will need to be checked on after sustaining an ankle knock.
The Fifers could return to the bottom of the table for the first time in six months if they lose and Arbroath defeat Dunfermline.
"If we win this game then avoiding relegation remains in our own hands regardless of what happens elsewhere," said East Fife boss Gary Naysmith.
"To win this game we need to defend better than we have been as at key times we have made mistakes and lost goals. We are at a stage in the season where we cannot allow that to happen any more."
Brechin striker Andy Jackson has opted to play at Bayview despite his arm being in plaster, but Darren Petrie is an injury doubt for City manager Ray McKinnon.
Former Dundee United defender Garry Kenneth will play in place of Gerry McLauchlan, who has an ankle knock, and Bobby Barr misses out through suspension.
Ahead of Saturday's game, McKinnon said: "We have secured our place in League One and now we want to finish as high in the table as we can.
"East Fife have a lot to play for but so do Brechin, and there will be no easing up."
