Campbell to miss Rangers visit

East Fife are only missing ankle-injury victim Stevie Campbell against Berwick.

But player-manager Gary Naysmith looks set to freshen his side up anyway after being disappointed with the display in their 1-0 defeat to East Stirling last weekend.

Naysmith explained: "We had done really well in our first two cup games, however we never hit those standards at the Shire. We should have had a draw; we still need to learn how to pick up points when you play badly.

"Berwick have made a great start to the season and are a side that can score goals so this will be a tough afternoon."

Berwick are again without long-term injured pair Euan Bald (back) and Stevie Notman (knee).

Player-manager Colin Cameron hopes that increased confidence in his squad will lead to another good result.

Cameron said: "We have done well since the start of the season and the squad are all pulling for each other. They have confidence in each other which is great and we will need that at East Fife as the games between the clubs are usually tight.

"We won at their place at this stage of the season last year and it would be terrific to repeat that success and make it six points from six."
