Injury problems mounting for East Fife

Second-placed East Fife host table-toppers Annan and the Fifers player/ manager Gary Naysmith is struggling to pick a team.

Stevie Campbell and Pat Slattery have been ruled out with ankle injuries and Allan Walker, Jason Kerr and Kevin Smith are all struggling with knocks.

Naysmith has brought Partick Thistle midfielder Jordan Leyden in on loan and is hoping to have a striker as a trialist.

He said: "We will be really short of bodies if the injury doubts do not make it. However, we will go with what we have available and look for the win that would take us to the summit."

Annan will be without Smart Osadolor, who is banned after being sent off in the Scottish Cup win over Berwick Rangers last weekend.

Steven Black is out with a groin injury while a hamstring problem keeps Peter Watson on the sidelines, but Steven Swinglehurst is fit enough to start.

Galabank manager Jim Chapman said: "We defeated East Fife earlier in the season in a game that had quite a messy finish. Hopefully this will be a calmer affair and we can build on a good performance last weekend.

"If Annan turn up and produce what they are capable of we have a great chance of winning."
