McAleer to miss out
East Fife are without the suspended Caolan McAleer for the visit of Albion Rovers after he was sent off in last Saturday's Scottish Cup defeat against Berwick.
Allan Walker and Jamie Beaton, who were also dismissed, can play as their suspensions will be served in the knock-out competition.
Alan Cook is also missing due to an ankle injury with player-manager Gary Naysmith saying: "Things went against us last weekend but we have to move on and look to defeat a good Albion Rovers side.
"They have a good spine with Neil Parry, Mick Dunlop, Darren Young and John Gemmell but if we play like we can we can get the three points and get our season going."
Albion Rovers' player-manager Darren Young looks set to miss out with a groin injury against a Fife side he reckons will be determined to bounce back from that Berwick disappointment.
Young explained: "They will be angry to lose at home in the Scottish Cup last weekend and will be looking to hit back. We will need to play well for the full game to get the three points.
"We had a good second half against Queen's Park last week and that helped us to a win. However, there is more to come from our side and hopefully we can start showing that in this game."
