Fifers keep dream alive East Fife kept their play-off hopes alive with a 3-2 win at home to high-flying Ayr. Ryan Wallace gave East Fife the lead from inside the area after quarter of an hour. The Fifers were 2-0 up after 32 minutes when Scott Durie netted his first goal for the club from 18 yards. Their lead was halved seven minutes later when Michael Moffat scored from close range, but it was 3-1 a minute into the second period as Robert Linn scored his 13th league goal of the season from Wallace's cross. Home goalkeeper Michael Brown saved Mark Roberts' 74th-minute penalty after Matthew Park's foul on Moffat, but United did get a second when Moffat netted from 12 yards a minute from time.
