Rangers cruise past Fifers

Berwick boosted their Scottish League Two play-off hopes with a 4-1 victory over East Fife at Bayview Stadium.

Paul Wills shot wide from the edge of the box in the 11th minute for the visitors before giving them the lead three minutes later when he got on the end of Scott Maxwell's cross to drive the ball beyond Jordan Millar.

Andrew Russell almost doubled the lead in the 21st minute after a great move involving Scott Maxwell and Ross Gray but Millar produced a fine save to deny him.

Derek Riordan almost sent the teams into the break level but his effort came back off the woodwork.

Kyle Wilkie head home Russell's fine cross in the 53rd minute to double the lead and Berwick went ahead further when Blair Henderson picked the ball up off Lee Currie and finished well with 20 minutes to go.

Sam Dickson headed home Alan Cook's 88th minute cross for East Fife before David Gold wrapped up victory, getting on the end of Willis' cross to nod in.
