East Fife 1-0 Alloa Athletic

06 December 2008 06:34
A controversial penalty converted by substitute Paul McManus gave East Fife a hard-fought win over Alloa. Alloa had the best chance of the first half, when home keeper Will McCulloch punched away Iain Campbell's free-kick. However, when McManus went down under a challenge from Dougie Hill, referee Stephen Finnie awarded East Fife a spot-kick which the striker converted. John Grant could have levelled the match late on, but he blazed his chance over from eight yards.
