DUNSTABLE Town secured promotion to the Premier Division of the Southern Football League today with a 1-0 win at home to Uxbridge in front of 303 in one of the closest outcomes of the Southern Football League for years.

Going into the game, one of four teams could have won the League and it was Marsh's 25th minute goal at home to the Middlesex side which saw the Bedfordshire side secure promotion just one point ahead of Rugby Town who won 6-0 at AFC Hayes.

Third place was secured by Kettering Town, who won 3-2 at North Greenford United, whilst Daventry Town dropped to fourth place with a 1-0 home defeat against Chalfont St Peter.

So the final play off places to join Dunstable in the Premier Division next season will see Rugby Town entertain Slough Town and Kettering Town entertain Daventry Town.
