Young's new injury woe

Dunfermline Athletic midfielder Darren Young faces another frustrating spell on the sidelines after suffered a torn calf muscle in training.

The 28-year-old has only featured once since mid-January and now faces a race to be fit in time for the Pars' Scottish Cup semi-final against Hibernian in a month's time.

Young told the Dundee Courier: "I'd just come back and played a game against Celtic, albeit not my best.

"To get back for a couple of days and then tear my calf gets you down a lot.

"I just want to get fit again as soon as possible because we've got the semi-final to look forward to and we're fighting relegation.

"But this could take a bit of time to heal and I want to make sure it's healed properly this time."
