Dunfermline Athletic defender Scott Wilson is hoping that the club can overcome their financial worries so he can stay at East End Park beyond the end of the season.
The 26-year-old joined the Pars in the summer of 2002 and is hopeful that a new contract can be sorted out when the club's money worries improve.
He told the Dundee Courier: "I never said I wanted to leave Dunfermline I just said I wanted to know what was going to happen to the club.
"At the time when my contract was getting done the club got into a wee bit of trouble.
"We've not been told anything since we took a wage cut. We've been told the club's got to be saved, but nothing definite. They've been a wee bit cloudy about it.
"I've been told I've got a few weeks to make my mind up but I've got a few things to weigh up. I don't want to leave because I'm happy here."
