Dunfermline defender Scott Wilson has reacted angrily to criticism aimed at the Pars by television pundit Craig Burley.
The former Scotland international accused Dunfermline of disgracing Scottish football after they lost 8-1 to Celtic on Sunday, but his comments did not go down well at East End Park.
A furious Wilson told the Daily Record: "We were humiliated by Celtic and we all know that.
"We don't need someone like Craig Burley to come out and say the things he did. For an ex-player to say we disgraced Scottish football is totally out of order.
"He should know that players always give 100 per cent and that every so often a freak scoreline comes along.
"I tried to avoid watching the game again on TV because I know how bad we were, but it was hard to avoid the sort of things that a so-called expert was saying."
