Thomson nearing return

Dunfermline captain Scott Thomson hopes to be back in SPL action within a month.
The veteran midfielder has not played since undergoing surgery on an Achilles problem during the summer, but is now back in light training.
"I'm two or three weeks off playing," Thomson told The Courier.
"I started jogging last week and this week will be stepping up to half or three-quarter pace.
"All being well, I'll be playing reserves a fortnight from now.
"The specialist told me it would be six weeks before I was back in full training and that looks like being the case.
"I was hoping to be back a wee bit quicker but, with having the leg in a big protective boot, I'd lost a bit of conditioning on my calf and it was really tight when I started running, so I'll have to build things up gradually."
