Shields feels for Kenny

Dunfermline Athletic defender Greg Shields thinks that the Pars squad have let down manager Stephen Kenny since his arrival from Derry City in November.

The East End Park club have won just six games in 22 since Kenny took charge and Shields say that that is not good enough.

He told the Dundee Courier: "Unfortunately, the gaffer must be scratching his head and wondering why we have not done better than we have.

"The work he puts in is excellent and he is very thorough in the way he prepares for games, which is great.

"He really gets into your head what he wants from you on a Saturday. From a player's point of view, we can't prepare any better for a match than the way we do.

"It all makes you feel part of something and his approach is very positive."
