Pars pair set for surgery

Dunfermline Athletic strikers Mark Burchill and Jim McIntyre have both been told they need surgery to rectify niggling injury problems.
Burchill, 26, is currently recovering from a double hernia operation and will use the lay-off to undergo knee surgery.
McIntyre has not played since returning to East End Park from Dundee United in the summer and will now not have the chance to return to action until December after being told he needs a back operation.
Pars boss Jim Leishman said: "There are risks involved in the operation to cure a trapped disc but the surgeon is comfortable about doing it.
"Jim had been a bit down but this should at least get things moving in the right direction."
He added: "Mark has had a little problem for a while and it makes sense that, while he is recuperating from the hernia operation, he gets this done.
"We should have him back sometime in November."
