Dunfermline Athletic boss Stephen Kenny praised the fighting qualities of his players after they secured a 1-0 win over Dundee United to further boost their survival hopes.
A Tom McManUs strike secured another crucial three points for the Pars, who have won three of their last four SPL games to set up a potential Great Escape from the drop.
Kenny said: "I've been consistently pleased with the attitude and commitment of the boys and today was no different.
"It's difficult sometimes to put your finger on why, but I thought we deserved to win. Without being outstanding, we just worked hard for each other and got the win we needed.
"I don't really want to talk up the situation as it is now. We've worked hard to get to where it is, but there are four more games and there is a lot of work to do.
"The gap was nine points and nearly 11 at one point, so we've worked hard to get it back and not accept our fate. We've shown what we're made of."
