Morrison agrees Pars deal

Dunfermline have agreed a new one-year contract with defender Scott Morrison.

Morrison, 23, successfully overcame a serious knee injury following his move from Aberdeen in 2005 and jumped at the chance to sign a new deal despite the Pars' relegation from the SPL.

"It's great to get a new contract," he told the club's official website.

"I thought I was on my way so it's good to get it all sorted out.

"The club have shown a lot of faith in me and helped me get back to full fitness so I'm glad to stay another year and hopefully help them back to the SPL.

"Next season could turn out to be a great one because hopefully we can get back to the SPL and have a good run in the UEFA Cup."
