Crawford welcomes Kenny
Thursday Nov 16 2006 08:43

Dunfermline Athletic striker Stevie Crawford is hoping that the arrival of new manager Stephen Kenny will spark an upturn in the club's fortunes.

Kenny will take charge at East End Park after Derry City's last game of the Irish league season this Friday and Crawford wants to see his side push away from the foot of the SPL.

He said: "Personally I don't know too much about him, but reports you get are that he is very professional.

"He has done very well over in Ireland at a couple of clubs. He will be keen, it will be a challenge for him to come to the SPL to do well.

"Hopefully he gets a reaction out of the boys.

"We are playing for our futures, at the end of the day you don't want to play in the first division."
