Josh Falkingham misses out as Dunfermline meet Forfar

Dunfermline will be without Josh Falkingham when they look to keep hold of top spot at home to Forfar.

Falkingham has a back injury and Callum Fordyce and Ryan Williamson continue to be out with broken legs, but Dunfermline manager Allan Johnston said: "We are at the top of the league and we want to stay there.

"We have beaten Forfar twice already this season but those games are gone now and we cannot rely on them.

"We need to go out and defeat a well-organised side that will be in the promotion chase all season. It will not be easy."

Forfar have added Scott Martin on loan from Hibernian but Michael Travis and Michael Dunlop miss out with knee injuries and Lewis Allan continues to be absent with a thigh problem.

Derek Young and Gavin Swankie are also struggling and manager Dick Campbell admits: "It will be a real challenge to defeat Dunfermline with a few boys out.

"But I like a challenge and we will go there and have a go.

"Dunfermline are the best team in this league with Ayr just a bit behind them. We should have beaten Ayr last week so we can be confident of getting a result."
