Pars wait on trio

Dunfermline host bottom-of-the-table Dumbarton with Stephen Jordan still ruled out with a calf problem.

The joint-league leaders are waiting on Andy Geggan and Jordan McMillan, who have been ill, and Ryan Thomson after he broke his nose in last Saturday's 3-1 win over Raith Rovers.

East End Park assistant boss Gerry McCabe has told the players that their attitude will determine whether they win the game.

"This is a game that people will say Dunfermline are favourites to win as we are challenging at the top and Dumbarton are 10th," said McCabe.

"However they are coming here looking to impress a new manager so if we are not up for the game we could suffer."

Dumbarton's newly-appointed manager Ian Murray will watch his side from the Stands with assistant boss Jack Ross taking charge of the team.

The Sons will again be without Kevin Nicol due to a groin injury and Pat Walker who has an ankle problem, but everyone else is available for selection.

Ross said: "This game will give Ian a chance to see the boys in action. It is a tough fixture, one of the toughest in the division.

"We lost heavily last weekend to Morton but if we can cut out the individual mistakes that littered that game then we can do a lot better at East End Park.

"We are at the bottom but we are not adrift. A positive performance here can set things up nicely for Ian."
