Jordan boost for Pars

Dunfermline expect to have former Manchester City defender Stephen Jordan back in their line up against visitors Cowdenbeath.

Jordan trained with no reaction on Friday, while Jordan McMillan (calf) and Stephen Husband (groin) are both expected to shake off injuries to feature against the Blue Brazil.

Chris Kane is the only absentee for Dunfermline due to a long-standing ankle problem.

Pars assistant boss Gerry McCabe said: "In our last couple of games we have given ourselves a lot to do by going two goals down.

"We have to stop that before it becomes a habit, especially against a Cowdenbeath side that have adapted well to the First Division."

Cowdenbeath have ruled out full-back Scott Linton (knee) for their second Fife derby in a week.

However, captain John Anderson returns from a two-game ban to bolster a defence which lost four goals in a thrilling draw with Raith last Saturday.

Joe Mbu and David Cowan are expected to shake off knocks to be included in manager Colin Cameron's plans with the long-term injured Liam Cusack still missing out.

Cameron said: "We will go there and look to attack Dunfermline without being silly about it.

"The belief among our players that we can do something in the First Division is growing so I want to build on that rather than going there and parking the bus."
