Kane able to return

Dunfermline will welcome back Chris Kane against relegated visitors Airdrie.

The midfielder served a ban against Partick Thistle last Saturday.

Andy Geggan and Ryan Wallace have been passed fit for starting roles after coming through substitute appearances last weekend after injury and the Pars' numbers could be boosted further as Alex Whittle and Craig Dargo could return after ankle injuries.

Dunfermline need a win to be sure of First Division football next season

Manager Jim Jefferies said: "We are in the driving seat as we know what our destiny is if we win. You cannot take anything for granted as whilst Airdrie have had a disappointing season they won on their last visit here.

"We also had to score late against them in our last meeting to get a point."

Airdrie will again include 14-year-old striker Jordan Allan in their squad.

The Diamonds miss seven players with goalkeeper Robbie Thomson (hand), Sean Lynch (hamstring), David Lilley (Knee), John Boyle (knee), Jordan Kirkpatrick (knee), Nathan Blockley (ankle) and Gavin Griffin (ankle) all injured.

Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "It has been a long, hard and disappointing season for our club but it would be good to end it on a high with another win at Dunfermline.

"There is a huge prize at stake for our opponents but we want to end the season with a win so we will give it a real go."
