Goal rush again for Pars

Dunfermline routed Cowdenbeath 7-1 to continue their goal rush in Scottish League One.

The Pars were 4-0 up at half time as they build on last week's 6-1 win over Brechin and have now scored 22 goals in just four league and cup games.

Faissal El Bakhtaoui put the hosts 2-0 up inside the first eight minutes to set the tone for the game and Michael Moffat made it 3-0 after 12 minutes.

Cowdenbeath held out for another 20 minutes until Joe Cardle continued the rout after linking with Michael Paton.

David Hopkirk and Ryan Wallace scored to make it 6-0 with 17 minutes left.

Cowdenbeath's misery continued when Cardle added a seventh to complete his brace.

The visitors did pull a goal in the final minute when Pat Scullion fired into the net.
