Pars squeeze past Honest Men to stay clear at the top

Dunfermline maintained their eight-point lead at the top of Ladbrokes League One by coming from behind to beat 10-man Ayr 3-2 at East End Park.

The first half was not short on action and a five-minute spell just before half-time saw the game burst into life.

Andy Graham headed Ayr in front from a Brian Gilmour cross on 41 minutes and moments later the visitors doubled their lead when Craig Moore converted a penalty after Michael Paton's foul.

Gilmour was then shown a red card for handling Andy Geggan's goalbound header in first-half stoppage time and Michael Moffat slotted home the resulting spot-kick to immediately reduce Dunfermline's arrears.

The home side drew level after the restart when the unfortunate Nicky Devlin scored an own goal before Fayssal El-Bakhtaoui completed the turnaround for the league leaders on 65 minutes.
