Zaluska eyeing Terrors stay

Dundee United's Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska is hoping to agree a new contract to extend his stay at Tannadice beyond the end of the current campaign.

The 26-year-old's present deal runs out next summer, with Celtic rumoured to be showing an interest in the Terrors ace.

However, Zaluska is hoping to be able to stay put and help his current side qualify for next season's UEFA Cup.

He told the Daily Record: "I spoke with the manager about a new contract and we will see what happens after I meet him again next week.

"I want to be here for the UEFA Cup as there is a good feeling we can qualify by finishing third.

"The players believe something good is happening at this club and we have to keep winning matches."
