Zaluska closes on debut

Wednesday Jan 16 2008 08:43

Dundee United head coach Craig Levein has confirmed that goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska is finally close to being fit to make his Terrors debut.

The 25-year-old Pole has been unable to feature for United since his arrival in the summer due to two foot injuries, but Zaluska is now close to full fitness.

Levein commented: "He's been getting better and better all the time in training, it's just matches he needs now to sharpen up.

"We actually arranged a closed-doors game for Tuesday and he was going to play in that, but we had to cancel it.

"There are reserve matches coming up soon, so hopefully he'll be able to get some action."
