Terrors trial for Wilkie

Dundee United have handed a one-month trial to Scotland defender Lee Wilkie.

A series of injury problems have restricted the 26-year-old to just 16 appearances in the past 30 months and he was released by the Terrors' local rivals, Dundee, last week.

United manager Craig Brewster has no doubts about Wilkie's ability, but will assess his fitness over the next few weeks before deciding whether to offer him a deal.

Brewster has also invited DR Congo international midfielder Franck Matingou and Moroccan Abderrahmane Massassi to Tannadice for trials.
