Terrors swoop for Dixon

Dundee United are set to confirm the capture of defender Paul Dixon from locals rivals Dundee.

The 21-year-old was out of contract at Dens Park this summer and had also been interesting United's Scottish Premier League rivals Kilmarnock.

The Terrors will reportedly pay the First Division outfit around £25,000 in compensation.

United boss Craig Levein has already added former Dundee captain Scott Robertson, Celtic goalkeeper Michael McGovern and German striker Andis Shala to his ranks during the close season.
