Dundee United have appointed Craig Brewster as their new manager, following the departure of Gordon Chisholm.
The 39-year-old has left Inverness Caledonian Thistle to take over at Tannadice, but will allow current caretaker boss Billy Dodds to oversee the weekend clash with Falkirk.
Brewster told the Scottish Sun: "I won't start until Monday. I feel it's right Billy takes the team on Sunday. I won't be there, my staff will be in the stand.
"The players need to focus on their job, it's not about me. That's why it is important I am not there - I have to show respect to Billy.
"He will want to go out with a bang and prove that he can be a manager, I wish him every piece of luck going.
"I feel for Doddsy in this, but he is a pro who knows how it works in what can be a cruel game."
