Dundee United player-boss Craig Brewster hailed his side's defensive strength after they battled for a goalless draw at Kilmarnock.
The Terrors had to play for 51 minutes with ten men after Lee Miller was sent off and Brewster was happy with the result.
He said: "I am delighted with the point and especially because it is our first clean sheet in my time at the club and it was extra tough to do it that way.
"They had plenty of the ball, but we stayed strong and kept our shape and that is what you need when you are down to ten men.
"Defence starts from the front and, if the strikers do not protect the midfield and the midfield do not protect the defence, it is hard.
"All eyes were on us after a good performance against Rangers and we responded well."
