Tangerines snare Robertson

Dundee United have completed the signing of Dundee midfielder Scott Robertson on a free transfer.

The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the Tangerines, having been out of contract with their city rivals.

Manager Craig Levein told the club's official website: "Scott's a player I've admired for some time and will add further strength to the important midfield area of the team.

"He's a very direct player who likes to get in the opposition box whenever possible and I believe he'll help us strengthen our goal threat from open play.

"We're getting another talented player whose best years are ahead of him and who has the ambition and hunger to be a success."
