Swanson injury still causing concern

Dundee United midfielder Danny Swanson is still several weeks away from making a return to action, according to first-team coach Gary Kirk.

The 23-year-old has not featured for the Terrors since August because of a back problem that is also leading to pain in his hamstrings.

"It's looking likely that Danny will be missing for another fortnight at least," said Kirk. "He's going back to see his chiropractor on Monday and we should know more then.

"It's the same with Darren Dods and his knee injury. We hope his knee will have settled down by the start of next week and we'll assess him again then.

"Garry Kenneth has picked up a wee hamstring strain but he should be back training next week along with Craig Conway and Barry Douglas."
