Dundee United manager Craig Levein has stepped up his search for a new striker by handing a two-week trial to ND Gorica forward Jani Sturm.
The 25-year-old Slovenian almost signed for Leicester City two years ago when Levein was the Foxes manager only for an injury to scupper his chances of impressing at the Walkers Stadium.
"Jani will be here for a fortnight's trial and we'll see how he shapes up," Levein told The Dundee Courier.
"I tried to get him a few years ago when I was at Leicester but he was troubled by a groin injury at the time. He's definitely worth a look.
"I really only have one player to sign now and it's no secret that it's a striker we're after."
