Striker woe rocks Terrors
30 Jul 2009 - 11:43:45
Dundee United's new signing Damian Casalinuovo is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious shoulder injury.
The 22-year-old Argentinian striker only signed for the Terrors a week ago, having impressed while on trial at Tannadice, but was injured in a friendly against Kildare County.
Boss Craig Levein told The Courier: "Damian's shoulder was dislocated in the last game of our tour to Ireland when one of their guys just happened to land on top of him.
"His shoulder popped out and he's torn ligaments and tendons.
"It's extremely disappointing as he was showing up really well, but that's just the nature of the game.
"He'll undergo intensive rehab instead of an operation, but the doctors can't say exactly how long he'll be out for."
