Dundee United boss Gordon Chisholm has handed a trial to Scotland Under-21s goalkeeper Craig Samson.
The youngster is looking for a new club after turning down the chance to sign a new contract at Kilmarnock and Chisholm will give him the chance to impress in the upcoming friendlies against Everton and Bamber Bridge.
"I could have had keepers from down south join us, but am going to give Craig his chance," the Terrors boss told The Courier.
"He'll likely get most of Wednesday's closed doors game against Everton, then we'll let him know by the weekend whether we are going to offer him something."
Samson was unable to establish himself in Killie's first team after coming through the youth system at Rugby Park, but gained first-team experience during loan spells with Queen of the South and St Johnstone.
