Robson raring to go

Dundee United midfielder Barry Robson has revealed that the postponement of Saturday's SPL clash with Dunfermline meant the players missed their Christmas party.

The game has been rearranged for Tuesday evening, and Robson is determined to pick up three points against the relegation-threatened Pars.

The party was due to be held in Liverpool but Robson said: "It was a bit of a disaster because everyone was hoping to get the game on.

"It's just a pity the pitch was frozen, but it's been rearranged and we're all looking forward to it and raring to go.

"Nights out don't mean that much when it comes to games and the position we're in.

"The most important thing is games just now and we want to get as many points as we can from our next three so that we can go into the New Year on a high and build from there."
