Robertson tipped to impress

Dundee United boss Craig Levein has hailed Scott Robertson following the midfielder's first call-up to the Scotland senior squad.

The 23-year-old only joined the Terrors from Dundee in the summer, but has quickly established himself in the SPL and has caught the eye of national team coach George Burley.

Levein told the Daily Record: "He's really excited about it and so he should be, because there's no doubt in my mind he's got the ability.

"It's all happened very quickly for Scott, but he has been so consistent and has improved enormously in the few months he's been here.

"To get a call-up so soon is a great credit to him and everyone at Tannadice is really pleased.

"He won't be fazed by it and because of his age he'll cope no problem. He's young but he's not a kid. He's 23 and that's a good age."
