Robertson eyes rare start

Midfielder David Robertson is hopeful of being given a chance to shine in this weekend's SPL meeting with St Mirren.

The 23-year-old has started just two games for the Terrors this season, but is likely to face the Buddies with both Prince Buaben and Danny Swanson suspended.

Robertson told The Courier: "There are a couple of suspensions and injuries in midfield, so hopefully I will get a chance. If I do, then it is up to me to take it.

"I have been training really hard and I have played in some bounce games and against Dundee in the recent friendly, so I am fit enough.

"But the boys have been doing very well and it is difficult to break back into the team. There is a lot of competition for places, especially in midfield."
