New deals for Terrors four

Dundee United have secured the futures of a number key players after agreeing new contracts with a quartet of squad members.

Defender Garry Kenneth and forward David Goodwillie have penned extensions to their existing deals which will keep them at Tannadice until summer 2012.

Meanwhile, striker Kevin Smith and midfielder David Robertson are now contracted to the Terrors until May 2011.

"The signings demonstrate our strategy for the immediate and long-term future," manager Craig Levein told the club's official website.

"We're not only looking at contracts which expire at the end of this season, we're also looking to the future.

"We are making sure that our most promising younger players are secured on longer-term deals which are beneficial to them - and to Dundee United."
