Gordon Strachan does not expect Charlie Mulgrew to play for Dundee United against Celtic on Saturday.
The Bhoys defender is currently on loan at Tannadice and, while Strachan is pleased the 19-year-old is getting some first-team experience under his belt, he does not want that process to hinder Celtic's title challenge.
"I wouldn't think that Charlie will be involved on Saturday, no," Strachan told the Glasgow club's official website.
"I'll be speaking to Dundee United about that this week and I'd be surprised if there are any problems.
"There's no doubt he's doing well there. Charlie's certainly a good player, but he needs some proper games at first-team level."
