Dundee United player-boss Craig Brewster has told Lee Miller hard work is the only way for him to end his goal drought.
Miller has netted just six times in 31 games this season, but four of those goals came before the end of August.
The 22-year-old striker's loss of form has seen him slip out of the Scotland reckoning and Brewster has warned him there are no short-cuts back to the national squad.
"Strikers go through spells in their careers where they do not score and suddenly people start questioning why," he told The Courier.
"Sometimes you've got to go back to basics and, if you do that, things will eventually return.
"I've always felt that if you are feeling good and working hard then sometimes things automatically fall into place."
