Levein seeks keeper stay

Dundee United head coach Craig Levein is hoping to tie up a long-term deal with goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski in the near future.

The 31-year-old Poland international has impressed since his arrival from Austrian side Sturm Graz, but is only currently on loan at Tannadice until January.

Levein told The Courier: "My priority has been boosting the strikeforce and although we got Jordan Robertson in on loan, I still want another forward.

"However, the goalkeeping situation could be something myself and the chairman will look at in the future.

"I actually didn't think he had that much to do on Saturday against Falkirk, but he still managed a good save to stop Russell Latapy and his one off Darren Barr's effort was from the top drawer."
